the friends of the museum association
The Friends of the Museum Association promotes the heritage of the Vilaine region, in particular its maritime, river, and rural traditions. It works with the museum to manage and safeguard collections of objects and costumes which represent this heritage.
While maintaining a principle of impartial management, the Association undertakes :
- Investigative work, research, inventory, collection of objects ans costumes
- permanent and temporary exhibitions
To implement cultural actions that :
- contribute to a better understanding of the heritage held by the Museum in the Vilaine region
- promote cultural tourism
The Association maintains a relation of partnership favored with the municipality of La Roche-Bernard, the Bow association of local authorities the south Brittany and the tourist office of La Roche Bernard.
